Fostermation has recently added CNC-Swiss type capabilities to its impressive list of manufacturing processes. New in 2008 are 5-axis CNC Swiss machines with 3 live tools. This allows us a full range machining processes for the production of precision parts complete, without expensive secondary operations. We are now able to manufacture complex parts with ultra high-speed flexibility, including tough materials.
Diameters up to 16MM (5/8” ) in lengths up to 155MM (8.00”) are within the parameters of our new equipment. Note: longer lengths are available with a special attachment. This latest technology utilizes multi-axis machines, equipped with live tooling for milling, cross drilling and backworking provides maximum flexibility for complete complex parts, eliminating costly secondary operations, Related; Cross and center-drilling, live tooling and sub-spindle, C-Axis rotation, automation magazine bar feeds, deep drilling, tapping, threading, milling, slotting and broaching can all be accomplished with ease. Typical turned tolerances can be held to +/-.0002”.
